Hello, I will be giving two talks this week. First in Sekolah Pemikiran Perempuan (SPP)/Indonesia’s Women School of Thoughts on July 29, 1 pm, on zoom. You can register on pemikiranperempuan.org, and look up to my fellow awesome panelists here. The session will be online and available on the SPP’s Youtube Livestream. Each panelist will dissect one specific word filled with patriarchal, sexist, and heteronormative notions. My word will be “nature,” which is right under my forte (hopefully). I will share the power point once the deed’s done.
UPDATE (July 29, 2023)
All the materials are in Indonesian. Here's the power point, and here's the video on YouTube live stream.I'm very thankful for all the participants -- all the comments and critiques for me are very much appreciated & they're all exciting for me to carry on my research on gender & socioecological remedy. We're very sorry that we couldn't go through all of the questions, critiques, and comments. Feel free to reach out to me however convenient to you, especially if your questions & critiques for me are haunting you in your sleep.

Who datTwo days from there, July 30 also at 1 pm, I will present the preliminary finding and hypothesis in my dissertation. I would like to thank Monash University Indonesia, especially Luthfi & Sabina who invited me. There will be no publicly circulated material other than the abstract below. Zoom is available upon request.

wow. much words. very long. In August, 18 I will present at ASA’s Environmental Sociology Roundtable. Not for public, sadly. And on August 20, I will be the speaker for an exciting book launch — more details later.
UPDATE (Aug 27, 2023)
My written response is now available here. I enjoy reading Habibi's book so much. Thank you for Indoprogress (specifically Mas Coen) who gave me a free copy of the book. Habibi also writes extensively about rural politics and economy.
September 12 will mark my first US-based invited talk, somewhere still undisclosed; again, more details later.
I have traveled a lot for the last few months, and will keep doing that until October. All I need is just a lazy chonky ginger cat and a lovely chocolate Labrador to sleep on my belly & chest, as my anti-anxiety blanket. Don’t worry, the irony of my commitment in environmental justice while fuming literal shit tons of emissions into the air will never get lost in me. Unfortunately, however, I don’t care about that narcissistic liberal consumption-based critique.
